For law firms
Set legal pay on evidence, not hearsay.
Already used by law firms across the islands.Offshore law firms compete for locally qualified lawyers, UK lawyers and experienced support staff from a small island pool. PayPulse shows you where every role sits in the Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man market, anonymously aggregated from local employers.
The problem
Every role has a market. Most firms only see part of it.
Local and UK qualified lawyers price differently
Locally qualified lawyers and UK lawyers relocating to the islands carry different expectations. A single survey line cannot tell them apart.
Support staff are the quiet flight risk
Paralegals, legal assistants and secretaries move between firms quietly. Their pay tracks the island market, not the lawyers they work for.
Partnership changes the picture
Senior roles combine practice, management and partnership. Levelling them fairly takes more than a job title.

How PayPulse helps
Evidence for lawyers and support staff alike.
AI matching on your job descriptions
Paste a job description and the AI leveller places the role on the PayPulse framework, so every comparison is like for like rather than whatever shares the title.
Partnership and management in view
Senior levelling asks about partnership and management committee responsibilities, so the roles that combine practice and leadership are placed fairly.
Filter the market to your industry
Every dashboard filters by industry, so you can compare against other legal employers where the pool is deep enough, or against the whole island market when you want the wider view.
Pay gap readiness
Overall and per-level gender pay gaps, a pay equity heatmap and a report-ready summary, ready for when the question is asked. Readiness, not legal advice.
Roles we benchmark
The whole firm, not just the lawyers.
The PayPulse framework covers qualified lawyers, legal support and the business functions around them, so the whole firm is benchmarked against the island market.

Questions
Asked before every demo.
- Can we compare only against other law firms?
Yes. Every dashboard filters by industry, including legal employers. To protect anonymity, a result only shows when enough organisations and records sit behind it, so a very narrow filter can fall back to the wider island market until the pool is deep enough.
- Will other organisations see our salary data?
No. Contributions are anonymised and aggregated. You see the shape of the market, never an individual salary or an identifiable organisation, and no result is shown unless several other employers sit behind it.
- Does PayPulse tell us what to pay?
No, and it should not. PayPulse shows you where the market sits for a role and level. Where you position pay against that evidence stays your decision.
- Which markets do you cover?
Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man, each benchmarked as its own market and refreshed periodically as new data reaches the pool.
